Regional Groups
The Society has over 30 regional groups, some with as few as seven members and some with over 200. Most groups meet monthly and have talks in winter and visits to gardens and plant sales in spring and summer.
Some have an annual charge, some charge a small fee for attending talks and some do both. All members of the regional groups should join the National Society, as only then are they covered by our group insurance and receive our quarterly magazine. Joining one of these groups is an excellent way to meet fellow gardeners, swap plants and seeds and go on arranged outings. If there is not one in your area, why not start one?
As the CGS is an Affiliated Society of the RHS, each year a group of up to 55 people can visit an RHS garden (Wisley, Hyde Hall, Bridgewater, Harlow Carr or Rosemoor) free of charge.
Please contact our chair at natchaircgs@gmail.com for more information about starting a group or this years events.
